Its source code is available in the public domain and anyone with programming knowledge can modify it to enhance its features. The Government of India itself plans to adopt Linux, thereby bringing down the cost of ownership of IT infrastructure.

Advanced Linux
Linux Installation and Configuration, Linux variants, Command-line Commands and customization, Managing user accounts, Creating and mounting file systems, Setting up LANs, Connecting to the Internet, Networking with Windows, Installation of Mail, FTP and Proxy servers
